Welcome to our Class page! We are the youngest class in the school and are based in the Infants Centre. We are a hard working bunch of boys and are enjoying settling into our class. The adults in our class are Rachel, Kerry, Shah and Naseem. Susan and Dave also work with us. We are also lucky to have visits from Helen our Speech and Language Therapist, Abbie our music therapist, Dave our fantastic music man and John who teaches us PE.
We all had a fantastic year so far at Springfield House and are now properly settled. We love being here and always have lots of fun. Our teachers are very pleased with the fantastic progress we have made since September and are looking forward to seeing us continue to flourish in the Summer Term.
During the Spring term we enjoyed working on our topic ‘Mini and Mighty’. We enjoyed exploring plants and animals from the mini mouse to the mighty elephant. We learnt all about how plants and animals change and grow. We really enjoyed reading ‘Owl Babies’ and finding out about little Bill and his adventures, as well as carrying on with all our phonics and writing work. We grew our own plants and the highlight of the term was a trip to the farm where we met lots of baby and adult animals and leant all about how they grow and change, we particularly loved the little lambs and calves but Rachel said we couldn’t take one back to school on the minibus!
Our topic for the Summer Term is ‘Move it’. We will be exploring houses and homes, finding out about the Olympic Games and getting our own bodies moving, putting them to the test in our own mini Olympics. After half term our focus will move on to transitions and finding out about moving on in school and onto our next classes.
Here are some photos of us enjoying school. We will be adding lots more photos over the year so we hope you will check back to see what we are getting up to.
