Autism & ADHD needs class
Are you a passionate and reflective teacher who believes every child deserves to feel safe, understood and able to thrive?
We are seeking an outstanding SEND Teacher to join our dedicated team at our primary special school, supporting children with Autism and ADHD that requires a relationship based approach to teaching. Many of our pupils also have complex life experiences, including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a history of trauma.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner who combines a clear knowledge of adaptive practice strategies with deep empathy and a trauma-informed approach.
The Role
You will:
• Plan and deliver engaging, sensory based, highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
• Create structured, and consistent routines in the classroom environment
• Use a range of behaviour strategies
• Work collaboratively with therapists, families and multi-agency professionals
• Implement positive learning and behaviour support plans focused on increasing engagement
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning programmes
